Research Interests

Daniel is primarily a qualitative methods researcher whose interests include mental health, children's services, carers, personalisation, dementia, and social policy relating to these areas.

He recently graduated from the University of Surrey with an MSc in Social Research Methods.

He is currently working with colleagues from PSSRU, Newcastle University, and the Universities of Southampton and Sussex on an ESRC-funded project on dementia, modelling the outcome and cost impacts of interventions in this field. He is also working on a project on direct payments in residential care, alongside colleagues from PSSRU and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Before starting as a researcher he previously worked as a section editor at Community Care, the magazine and website for social care professionals.
