Research Interests

Renee Romeo is a lecturer in health economics and a mental health services researcher at the Centre for the Economics of Mental and Physical Health, King's College London. Her research focuses on applying economic techniques to examine policy and practice questions, primarily in the mental health field, including but not limited to, intellectual disabilities, autism, depression and dementia. She is the author of a number of peer-reviewed articles and reports and regularly reviews journal articles for a range of journals. Currently, she is involved in a number of studies, for example, an evaluation to improve the wellbeing of care home residents with dementia, another looking at antipsychotic drug reduction in adults with learning disabilities, one which looks at the clinical management of visual hallucinations and access to care for young people experiencing or at risk of developing psychiatric disorders. One of her growing interests is in exploring the cost-effectiveness of treatments and services arrangements for Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) groups. She has a PhD in Health Economics, from King's College London.
