Key objectives of the KT Social Care project were improving dialogue between social care professionals, researchers and policy makers; developing better exchange of knowledge and information across government and other relevant stakeholder groups, developing links with these organisations as well as policy-makers, exploring the nature of knowledge transfer in social care research; working towards greater user, carer, practitioner and policy-maker involvement in research; exploring the barriers to and facilitators of knowledge transfer in social care policy and practice; disseminating research findings to a variety of audiences through a variety of media using some innovative methods; and developing better knowledge transfer strategies and capabilities.
