Research Interests

Daniel Roland is a Research Associate (Officer) at the PSSRU within the University of Kent. His interests include long-term care funding, health and social care evaluation, applied economics, policy evaluation and health economics. Since joining the research unit in 2016, Daniel has worked on several projects funded by the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) and the Health Foundation including "Funding Options for Health and Social Care" with colleagues from RAND Europe, "The influence of social care on Delayed Transfer of Care (DTOC)" in collaboration with the University of York, “Retention and Sustainability of Social Care Workforce (RESSCW)” and “Quality, Safety and Outcomes of Health and Social Care (QSO)”, among others. Previous experience include studies in human capital accumulation, economics of education and labour economics.
