Research Interests

Madalina joined PSSRU as a Research Fellow on the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Kent Surrey Sussex in March 2021. Prior to this, for the last seven years she has been involved in setting up and developing the work of Scottish Improvement Science Collaborating Centre (SISCC), an international collaboration spanning several universities and health and social care bodies to develop the evidence-base for sustainable large-scale service transformation, focusing on improving safety, increasing care and compassion, reducing inequalities and enhancing the overall health and well-being. Madalina’s work is therefore situated at the intersection of health services research, improvement and implementation science, while her methodological expertise covers the full spectrum of mixed-methods techniques, including intervention and evaluation design, instrument development, formal consensus approaches, as well as various qualitative methods, policy analysis and evidence synthesis.
