Research Interests

Claryn Kung is working on a Seed Fund grant funded by the Wellcome Trust to investigate Amartya Sen’s capabilities approach as an ethical foundation for a cognition policy based on a metric of 'cognitive footprint'. Claryn is working on this project with Martin Knapp and Jeroen Luyten at the LSE.

Claryn completed her PhD on the economics of mental health at the Centre for Health Economics at Monash University (Melbourne, Australia). With her thesis she applied econometric models to better understand relationships between mental health and socioeconomic circumstances. Her broad research interests are in health and behavioural economics.
